Up Yer Kilt Stereotyping!

Braveheart should have its kilts removed!

Fact: Kilts weren’t worn by the Scots until 400 years after the story of Braveheart. T
Yes, there’s an easy association with the Scottish, the garment known as ‘kilt’ and everyone else NOT belonging to Scottish heritage. It’s true, we think that the kilt has been around forever but Braveheart’s time is way too early for one to exist. Mel Gibson’s film character William Wallace who slayed the English in the 1300’s shouldn’t be wearing one for at least another four centuries!
A stereotype is more powerful than historical accuracy, right?
